Marvel Fanfare
The anthology format was hardly new for Marvel Comics by the time 1982's Marvel Fanfare came around. The anthology series of the 1960's and 1970's were mostly either full issues or split books; generally they featured a primary character (or more) or dedicated the entire issue to that issue's character(s) before moving on to a new character.
Marvel Fanfare was different in numerous regards; the title featured no consistent lead characters, sometimes featured three stories, was light on serialization and the stories ranged from brand new stories from new or infrequent Marvel talent to previously unpublished inventory issues by established creators that didn't see print for one reason or another.
While the series goes beyond the 80's into 1991, I'm going to cover the whole series here and break down each of the characters/teams and their appearances on this site (if available). Some might already be available in regular series collections and others (frankly) might not make their way into the main archives.
